Customer Service - Self Storage Manager
About The Position
Public Storage is the self-storage industry leader. This role is for a Property Manager who works independently at multiple locations, handling various aspects of self-storage operations. Key responsibilities include assessing customer storage needs, selling packing and moving supplies, conducting daily storage unit inspections, managing cash drawers and bank deposits, and handling customer payments and collections. The position requires spending time both inside and outside the facilities, including performing cleaning and daily maintenance tasks.
Requirements
- Experience in customer service centered sales environments including retail, restaurant, fast food or other service-based companies
- Valid driver’s license
- Utilize own vehicle to travel between different work locations and/or while conducting other work-related business
Responsibilities
- Work independently at multiple locations
- Assess customer storage needs and make suggestions, including selling packing and moving supplies
- Perform daily storage unit inspections to confirm inventory and availability
- Audit cash drawers and make bank deposits
- Help keep customers current with payments and make reminder and collection calls when required
- Perform cleaning and daily maintenance tasks, including sweeping/mopping interior areas and maintaining exterior grounds/curb appeal clean and free of debris
