About The Position
Alter Trading Corporation is seeking an energetic, detail-oriented Customer Service / Scale Administrator to support operations at its South Beloit, Illinois location. The role is part of a fast-paced, customer-focused team and helps keep the recycling process organized by verifying materials and vehicles at the scale, processing transactions, assisting callers, and performing clerical work. The position works in an office environment with lots of windows.
Requirements
- Previous customer service experience and the ability to treat customers and company employees respectfully.
- Previous computer knowledge.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Responsibilities
- Visually verify inbound and outbound vehicles and materials on the scale deck, and enter weights into the computer.
- Process customer payments and verify customer information, material tickets, and pricing for accuracy.
- Answer incoming calls, provide directions, handle questions, and direct callers to the appropriate person or area.
- Perform clerical functions, including entering information, managing and developing reports, and filing.
