About The Position
Royal Shredding is a locally owned and operated document destruction company with over 25 years of combined experience in the industry. Our business is built on local friendly customer service. We believe in providing our clients with personal service and relationships. This is a hybrid position that combines customer service, route driving, and physical work. You will operate one of our specialized shredding trucks while servicing a scheduled route of residential and business customers. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently and staying active rather than sitting behind a desk all day. No shredding experience required – we provide full training. This position is Monday – Friday, 7 am to 5 pm, occasional Saturday work may be required. Local routes with an approximate 8 to 10 hour driving shift.
Requirements
- High school or GED Equivalent (Required)
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Comfortable driving a commercial straight truck
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and stay organized

Responsibilities
- Manage a daily service route throughout the area.
- Drive a company shredding truck to scheduled residential and business customer locations.
- Provide friendly and professional customer service during each visit.
- Collect confidential materials and securely shred them onsite.
- Deliver and install secure shredding containers when needed.
- Communicate with dispatch regarding route progress and scheduling.
- Maintain accurate service records using mobile route software.
- Safely operate a company commercial straight truck (non-CDL).
- Ensure that fluid levels are maintained daily (ex. fuel, oil, transmission, hydraulic, coolant, brake, and DEF fluid.).
- Perform daily vehicle safety inspections.
- Maintain a clean and professional vehicle.
- Report maintenance issues promptly.
