About The Position

Animal Emergency Clinic in Grand Terrace, CA, is a trusted AAHA-accredited emergency veterinary hospital serving the Inland Empire for over 50 years. Our dedicated team delivers compassionate, expert care for pets during after-hours emergencies. Currently open overnight on weekdays and 24 hours on weekends, AEC is preparing to expand to 24/7 emergency services. We are searching for a full-time Customer Service Representative to join our team! As a walk-in-only emergency hospital, we do not schedule appointments. This means every shift brings something different, from critical traumas to urgent medical cases. Our team must be ready to adapt quickly and remain calm, compassionate, and organized in this environment.

Requirements

  • Experience in veterinary setting. Urgent care or ER setting preferred. Will consider experience in GP 1+ years experience.
  • Excellent communication and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment while handling an unpredictable caseload with compassion and professionalism
  • Passion for animals and dedication to excellent client service
  • Reliable, punctual, and a collaborative team player

Responsibilities

  • Greet clients and pets with empathy and professionalism
  • Answer multi-line phone system and triage calls
  • Check patients in and out efficiently while maintaining accurate records
  • Handle payments, estimates, and explain services clearly to clients
  • Support clinical team by communicating effectively under pressure
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area
