About The Position

U-Haul is hiring a friendly, motivated Customer Service Representative to provide customer assistance at a U-Haul center and help ensure customers have the support they need. The role includes helping customers with U-Haul products and services, managing rentals and inventory with smartphone-based U-Scan technology, and inspecting and maintaining equipment. On-the-job education is offered, including certification opportunities for filling propane and operating a forklift. Employees participate in continuing education through U-Haul University. The role is located at 2010 S Philo Rd, Urbana, Illinois 61802. Compensation is $15.00 to $18.00 per hour. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship. Requirements

Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a good driving record.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Assist customers inside and outside a U-Haul center with U-Haul products and services.
Use smartphone-based U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory.
Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers.
Clean and inspect equipment on the lot, including checking fluid levels.
Answer questions and educate customers about products and services.
Prepare rental invoices and accept equipment returned from rental.
Install hitches and trailer wiring.
Fill propane; certification is offered through U-Haul upon employment.
Drive a forklift; certification is offered through U-Haul upon employment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Participate in ongoing continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
