About The Position

We are seeking a Customer Service Representative to join a growing, family-owned organization that has proudly served the Madison area for more than 70 years. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong communication skills, a customer-first mindset, and the ability to multitask while supporting customers, sales teams, and internal operations.

Requirements

Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience (retail, restaurant, hospitality, property management, or office environments welcome).
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Customer-focused with the ability to demonstrate empathy while remaining action-oriented.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook.
Typing speed of 45+ WPM.
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Answer inbound customer calls regarding orders, service inquiries, updates, and troubleshooting.
Conduct outbound follow-up calls and emails to ensure timely resolution of customer concerns.
Handle approximately 40-50 customer interactions per day.
Provide accurate service and pricing information to customers and sales representatives.
Assist customers with inquiries related to residential, commercial, roll-off, front-load, rotator, and other service offerings.
Manage escalated calls and emails with professionalism and urgency.
Coordinate with customer service, dispatch, and sales teams to resolve service-related concerns.
Assist the sales team with contract processing, invoicing, and special projects.
Communicate effectively with municipalities and business customers through written correspondence.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to departmental initiatives.
