About The Position

Are you passionate about pets and love connecting with people who feel the same? At Foothills Pet Resort, we're seeking a warm and friendly Customer Service Representative to be the first point of contact for our valued clients and their furry friends. In this role, you'll be responsible for greeting customers with a smile, answering questions about our services, and helping to ensure every pet and pet parent has a fantastic experience with us. Please note that the above-listed duties and responsibilities are the basic requirements for this role and may be modified, expanded, or reduced based on the evolving needs of the company. Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills: Phone, interpersonal, and written.
  • Proper spelling and grammar.
  • Professional and friendly demeanor.
  • Ability to work well with others as a team player.
  • Previous experience in a customer service role preferred, but not required.
  • A drive to meet and exceed client expectations.
  • Flexible schedule.
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Attention to detail and great organizational skills.
  • Able to handle/transport dogs of all sizes by leash.
  • Ability to remain upright and busy throughout a hectic shift.
  • Passion for working with animals.

Responsibilities

  • Greet pets and their humans cheerfully upon arrival.
  • Answer phone calls and emails with a positive attitude, providing information about boarding, grooming, and daycare services.
  • Provide basic information about pet care and resort policies.
  • Schedule appointments and manage reservations.
  • Assist with check-ins and check-outs for daycare, boarding, and grooming.
  • Contact veterinarians to obtain vaccine or other needed information.
  • Use kennel software to book appointments, make notes, and obtain relevant information.
  • Communicate with grooming and kennel staff regarding incoming dogs and their needs.
  • Escort pets to play areas/kennels.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the front office, including vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and cleaning windows.
  • Keep the desk, papers, and general office area clean and organized.
  • Represent the company positively through office appearance and personal presentation.
