About The Position

The Customer Service Representative is an entry-level position focused on meeting the needs of Bank customers by providing exceptional customer service. They receive and pay out money, as well as accurately keep records of cash and negotiable instruments involved in the Bank's various transactions. Regular and reliable on-site attendance is required. This role involves practicing exceptional service with customers, using numerous software applications, maintaining a balanced cash drawer, buying and selling currency, understanding bank products and services, answering basic customer inquiries, cross-selling, working effectively in a team, and following all bank policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Customer Service oriented individual.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Utilizes tools and training programs available to exceed customer expectations and achieves satisfactory scores on Mystery Shops.
  • Basic mathematical and cash handling skills.
  • Basic keyboard navigation ability.
  • Understanding and application of banking compliance regulations.
  • Regular and Reliable on-site attendance is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (including Outlook and Word) is preferred.
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus.
  • Previous cash handling and/or customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Meet the needs of Bank customers by providing exceptional customer service.
  • Receive and pay out money.
  • Accurately keep records of cash and negotiable instruments.
  • Practice exceptional service with customers using available training programs and measurement tools.
  • Use numerous software applications to accomplish daily tasks with minimal errors.
  • Maintain a balanced cash drawer and resolve errors and/or discrepancies.
  • Buy and sell currency from the vault as necessary, ensuring teller drawer cash limits are not exceeded.
  • Understand the features and benefits of bank consumer and business products and services.
  • Answer basic customer inquiries and cross-sell when appropriate.
  • Work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Follow all bank policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
