We have 86 quarries and 56 asphalt plants across Tennessee, Mississippi, Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, North Carolina, Kentucky, Arkansas, Texas, Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, and Virginia. Rogers Group is currently seeking candidates to fill the CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE position to work at our Quicksburg, VA quarry. Candidates must be motivated, safety conscious individuals with good multi-tasking skills to operate our Truck Scale system, take customer orders, and dispatch trucks. Performs general clerical duties in accordance with established procedures, requiring some judgement in the selection and interpretation of data. Candidate will also be trained to provide accounts payable, accounting, and billing support. Must be willing to work flexible hours and overtime as required by production demands.

Requirements

• High school diploma required
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent customer service skills
• Detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy with the ability to multi-task
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Excellent communication skills both oral and written

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience with accounts payable, general accounting, and billing related tasks

Responsibilities

• Weigh trucks and load materials according to VDOT standards and company policies.
• Enter data into the ticketing system accurately
• Assist customers in choosing the right materials for their job
• Handle payments and count money
• Communicate with customers, drivers, supervisors, and other team members
• Follow all company policies and safety procedures
• Provide friendly, professional, and thorough customer service
• Take and input customer orders
• Dispatch products and material for delivery
• Assist sales staff with customer service responsibilities
• May be called upon at the discretion of Managers to perform other duties
