About The Position

The Customer Service Representative position is a full-time role with availability for both day and evening shifts. This role is responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction through excellent service, accurate transaction processing, and maintaining store cleanliness and organization. The representative will handle various store operations, including customer interactions, sales, merchandising, inventory control, and security.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Experience in retail sales preferred.
  • Ability to accurately operate a variety of equipment (cash registers, scanners, fuel consoles, lottery machines, money order machines, telecom transaction devices, hot/cold beverage dispensers, etc.).
  • Ability to work as scheduled, including arriving to work on time.
  • Ability to communicate information and ideas effectively.
  • Ability to perform the four basic arithmetic operations (add, subtract, multiply, and divide) preferred.
  • Ability to perform essential duties and physical functions.
  • Ability to work in the described conditions.
  • Ability to work alone.

Responsibilities

  • Provide prompt, excellent customer service in a courteous, friendly, and attentive manner.
  • Greet customers upon entry and thank them upon departure.
  • Offer assistance, suggestions, and recommendations to customers.
  • Accurately ring up all sales using the cash register and handle various payment types.
  • Operate multi-function equipment such as fuel consoles, lottery machines, money order machines, and telecom transaction devices.
  • Maintain store facility cleanliness and equipment standards through general housekeeping duties, both inside and out.
  • Inspect store facilities and equipment for safety, cleanliness, and proper working order.
  • Notify the Store Manager of any equipment failures or maintenance/supply needs.
  • Complete build-to's for ordering and purchasing merchandise.
  • Receive and verify vendor deliveries.
  • Maintain adequate stock levels and rotate stock properly.
  • Place advertising and pricing signage inside or outside the facility.
  • Control merchandise, cash shortages, and other selling expenses.
  • Assist in maintaining proper inventory levels and performing shift audits.
  • Keep accurate cash, sales, and inventory control records and account for variances.
  • Report all incidents, including employee or customer injuries, theft, property damage, or sanitation issues, to the Store Manager.
  • Report any situations involving unsafe, unlawful, or unethical conduct.
  • Keep accurate records of all shift and timekeeping paperwork.
  • May take inventory of supplies and equipment.
  • Attend job-related meetings.
  • Provide regular and predictable onsite attendance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager.
