About The Position

Purdys Chocolatier, recognized as one of Canada's Best Employers, is seeking full-time Customer Service Representatives for a seasonal contract position. This role is crucial to our seasonal sales and support operations, focusing on our Group Purchase and Fundraising programs. As the primary point of contact, you will build relationships, understand customer needs, and provide solutions through outbound calls, inbound inquiries, email, and live chat. Success in this role requires curiosity, persistence, and a commitment to exceptional customer experience. We value diversity and welcome applicants from all backgrounds.

Requirements

  • Availability for the whole duration of the contract (August 31 until December 11, 2026, with the possibility to extend to April 2027).
  • At least 6 months of experience in a customer service, retail, or call centre environment.
  • A strong customer focus and curiosity to understand needs.
  • Confident communication skills with active listening and thoughtful questions.
  • A high standard for service and professionalism.
  • Resilience in a fast-paced, high-volume (70+ calls/day) environment.
  • Must be available to work August 31-September 4, 2026 for training.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in outbound calling is an asset.
  • Experience with Excel is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct outbound calls to engage prospective and existing customers, proactively introducing and promoting our Fundraising and Group Purchase programs.
  • Actively listen to customers to understand their goals, uncover their needs, and match them with the right program or solution.
  • Achieve daily outbound call targets while maintaining a high standard of customer experience on every interaction.
  • Re-engage customers who have declined or paused — applying persistence and creativity to reconnect and convert.
  • Provide prompt, friendly, and accurate support across all channels: phone, email (FreshDesk), and live chat.
  • Handle customer inquiries (programs, orders, campaigns) and process replacements and refunds.
  • Identify the root causes of customer challenges early and work proactively to resolve issues before they escalate.
