About The Position

The City of Robbinsdale is seeking a full-time Customer Service Representative to work in our vibrant License Center. This role involves serving Robbinsdale and surrounding communities by connecting residents with essential services and licenses. The position is scheduled Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week, from 7:50 am to 4:20 pm. The Customer Service Representative provides customer service to residents by assisting with vehicle titling, replacement driver's licenses, DNR licensing, and passport applications.

Requirements

• Proficiency in customer service and communication
• Ability to handle complex questions and provide clear, accurate information
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Basic computer skills and proficiency in relevant software applications
• Ability to obtain certification in Passport Acceptance or Driver License Issuance (within 6 months of hire)
• High School Diploma or GED
• Some experience providing in-person customer service.
• 18+ years of age
• Must be a U.S. citizen or U.S. non-citizen national (per federal regulations 22 CFR § 51.22) to fulfill Passport Acceptance Agent duties.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of motor vehicle registration and title transfer processes
• Familiarity with passport application procedures
• Understanding of DNR transaction requirements
• Previous experience working in a Deputy Registrar office
• Previous experience as a Passport Acceptance Agent
• Fluency in a language (other than English) that is spoken in Robbinsdale.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person customer service by assisting customers with motor vehicle transactions such as vehicle title and registrations
• Assist customers with passport applications or driver's license transactions
• Assist customers with DNR licensing and registration transactions
• Handle cash transactions with a high degree of accuracy and accountability
• Address complex questions requiring extensive knowledge of state law and policy
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned
