About The Position

Backed by a fifth-generation family-owned company, Spicers is a leading distributor of commercial print and business papers, specialty products, graphic solutions, sign & display equipment and materials, and packaging and facility supplies and equipment. We’re based in Vaughan, Ontario, with 15 regional locations that include custom manufacturing facilities Toronto and Winnipeg, equipment demo sites. We are currently looking for a full-time Customer Service Representative located in Western Canada, reporting to the Customer Service Manager for Southern Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba. Your Challenge: Under the supervision of the Customer Service Manager, the duties and responsibilities of the Customer Service Representative include, but are not limited to, the following:

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 – 3 years experience in sales and customerservice
  • Industry knowledge and understanding of paper manufacturing, paper distribution, graphic products,printing processes, sign and display or industrial supplies and packaging considered anasset
  • Strong communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Proficient in using MSOffice
  • A focus on sales-drivenstrategies
  • Excellent attention todetail
  • Excellent customer serviceskills
  • Strong organization and time-managementskills
  • Punctual, dependable, andreliable

Responsibilities

  • Provide superior service to customers by offering detailed product information, suggesting substitutions, and grouping products for pricingefficiency
  • Input customer orders for paper, packaging, graphic solutions, and sign & display products into thesystem
  • Assist with e-commerce orders for seamless customerservice
  • Ensure timely printing of invoices, coordinate with the warehouse for productdelivery
  • Assist in sourcing products as needed to fulfill customerrequests
  • Establishing and maintaining positive relationships with customers, colleagues andvendors
  • Support the Outside Sales team by communicating relevant customer information and salesopportunities
  • Expand market reach by initiating outbound calls to existing and potentialcustomers
  • Participate in training sessions to enhance product knowledge and salestechniques
  • Advise customers using all provided communication channels on all relevant information and keep Account Managers informed on orderstatus
  • Deliverycoordination
  • Receiving customer feedback and escalating/resolving issues asrequired
  • Maintain and share knowledge of the company’s line ofproducts
  • Establishing and maintaining positive relationships with customers and outside salesteam
  • Prepare samplerequests
  • Place orders and samples withvendors, approve invoices, and maintain accurate records
  • Other duties as assigned.
