We are seeking a dedicated professional to deliver superior customer service by providing accurate, professional, and timely information to all clients. In this role, you will manage exceptional order procurement and inside sales service for both domestic and international customers from origin to final delivery. The ideal candidate possesses in-depth knowledge of export processes, including Incoterms, tariff codes, customs documentation, and shipping regulations, to ensure the compliant and expeditious processing of all international requests. Berkshire Corporation is looking for a proactive, detail-oriented strategist who balances independent initiative with a collaborative spirit. The ideal candidate is a professional of high integrity who tackles complex problems with a positive, solution-focused mindset with a sense of urgency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university or one to two years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Excellent phone etiquette, grammar, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Demonstration of accuracy and thoroughness
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Experience with ERP systems
  • In-depth knowledge of export processes, including Incoterms, tariff codes, customs documentation, and shipping regulations

Nice To Haves

  • Bi-lingual ability a plus

Responsibilities

  • Handle incoming contacts via various methods in a timely manner while maintaining professional demeanor
  • Efficiently process orders by accurately quoting lead times, pricing, and order information entry daily
  • Efficiently maintain and improve product line knowledge, promotional services, marketing tools, and service techniques
  • Suggest website product information and data retrieval to customers
  • Create and verify all shipping documentation to identify problems or discrepancies in shipping methods
  • Resolve product or service problems by clarifying the customer’s complaint; determining the cause of the problem, selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem; expediting correction or adjustment; following up to ensure resolution.
  • Create Return Authorizations and communicate Return policy to customers
  • Communicate with freight forwarder representatives to arrange for international shipments and resolve problems with paperwork, as warranted
  • Act as liaison between customers and other departments to provide clean documented instructions as they relate to customer requirements to ensure satisfaction in meeting their needs
