About The Position

A State Savings Bank Customer Service Representative exemplifies a “Yes, I can!” approach to customer service and is responsible for providing prompt and efficient service when handling customer transactions. A Customer Service Representative is expected to be available to work Monday through Saturday.

Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age
  • High school or higher education level
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Computer skills
  • Cash-handling experience
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Accurate and well-organized

Responsibilities

  • Accurately process transactions such as check cashing, deposits/withdrawals, and loan payments.
  • Issue Money Orders, Cashier’s Checks, and Gift Cards.
  • Balance cash drawer with minimal or no discrepancies.
  • Responsibly buy and sell cash to main vault to stay within set drawer limits.
  • Accurately prepare and transmit transaction ticket work.
  • Identify counterfeit money.
  • Cash US Savings Bonds.
  • Answer telephones, file paperwork, and maintain office supplies.
  • Answer basic customer inquiries regarding interest rates, service charges, and account history.
  • Cross-sell bank products and services and refer customers to appropriate areas as needed.
  • Follow bank policies and procedures.
  • Maintain professional, business-like appearance.
  • Perform other tasks requested by supervisor related to daily operations of the bank.
