We have an opportunity for a Customer Service Representative to join our Manitowoc, WI team. You will serve as the primary point of contact for customers, distributors, service partners, and end users. This position is responsible for providing exceptional customer support through phone, email, and order processing activities while ensuring a positive customer experience at every interaction. The ideal candidate is a customer-focused professional with a strong phone presence, excellent communication skills, a high level of accuracy, and the ability to quickly learn products, processes, and systems. This role plays a critical part in supporting customers and maintaining accurate order management within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of customer service, order management, inside sales support, or call center experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Strong phone presence with the ability to communicate professionally and confidently with customers and business partners.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in Business, Communications, or related field preferred.
  • Manufacturing or B2B customer service experience preferred.
  • Experience working with ERP, CRM, and order management systems preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately enter and process customer orders, including order changes, cancellations, credits, and returns.
  • Ensure a high level of order entry accuracy and attention to detail to minimize errors and support customer satisfaction.
  • Professionally handle a high volume of inbound customer calls and emails with confidence, courtesy, and professionalism.
  • Provide timely and accurate information regarding product availability, pricing, lead times, shipment status, and order updates.
  • Build positive relationships with customers, distributors, and internal business partners through effective communication and follow-through.
  • Research and resolve customer inquiries while coordinating with Sales, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, Warranty, Technical Service, and Logistics teams.
  • Document customer interactions and maintain accurate records within company systems.
  • Escalate complex customer issues when appropriate and ensure timely resolution.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of products, systems, processes, and policies.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to learn new responsibilities and support changing business needs.
  • Contribute to a positive team environment focused on collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
