About The Position

Magnetics, a division of Spang & Company, has an opening for a Customer Service Representative based at its Pittsburgh, PA office. This position will be responsible for providing professional and efficient customer service for all interactions with the Magnetics Sales Department and external customers, covering the full customer service process from initial phone or email contact through order completion. Magnetics is a leading world supplier of precision soft magnetic components and materials to the electronics industry. We specialize in the research, design, and production of high-quality powder cores, ferrite cores, and tape wound cores for applications such as chokes, inductors, filters, transformers, and power supply components used in alternative energy, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), telecommunications, aerospace, military, medical, and other electronic systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field
  • Up to 3 years of sales and/or customer service experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong computer skills

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of an ERP system

Responsibilities

  • Providing customers with pricing and delivery information
  • Creating and processing customer quotations and orders in our ERP system (IFS)
  • Sending customer confirmations, delivery notes, and invoices
  • Expediting customer orders
  • Resolving customer concerns
  • Consulting with Sales Engineers and the Purchasing, Shipping, Manufacturing, Costing, Compliance, and Logistics departments to ensure accurate order processing
  • Coordinating with internal and external personnel to support customer needs
