About The Position

The Customer Service Representative will be responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of all areas assigned. This role involves performing janitorial duties, operating cleaning equipment, and maintaining the daily upkeep of assigned areas. The position requires reporting incidents and hazardous conditions, complying with safety rules, and working collaboratively with team members. The representative will also be responsible for maintaining a clean work area, following all protocols, and taking direction from supervision. Professional communication with leads, supervisors, co-workers, managers, and customers is essential, as is the ability to fill in during staff shortages and support shift leads. The role also involves presenting a professional appearance and conduct, understanding customer service principles, and utilizing reporting systems.

Requirements

  • No specific education requirement
  • 3-6 months training or experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • May be required to have a valid driver’s license
  • Completed all safety and task training certification
  • May be required to be forklift certified
  • Bilingual a plus
  • Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment and willing to share with team
  • Knowledge of the upkeep and care of the cleaning equipment
  • Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use

Responsibilities

  • Perform janitorial duties
  • Perform all duties listed on the daily schedule
  • Operate motorized cleaning equipment
  • Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area
  • Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor
  • Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures
  • Perform work assignments in a team with other employees
  • Perform repetitive tasks

  • Follow all protocols, company procedures, policies, and rules

  • Talk with lead, supervisor, co-workers, managers, and customers in a professional manner
  • Fill in during staff shortage
  • Support shift lead in completing punch-list items
  • Use proper personal protective equipment
  • Present a professional appearance and conduct
  • Understand customer service and satisfaction
  • Understand reporting systems, and of the environment
