As a Customer Service Representative in Patient Registration, you will be the first point of contact for patients checking into the hospital, assisting them through the registration process with confidence, clarity, and compassion. This role is ideal for individuals new to healthcare, as comprehensive training will be provided, serving as a launchpad for a healthcare career. The position is fast-paced, involving computer systems, phone calls, and in-person interactions, requiring a balance of accuracy and compassion while working alongside clinical staff.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
Strong customer service experience
Ability to pass background check, drug test, and meet vaccination requirements

Medical or healthcare experience (but not required!)

Responsibilities

Help patients navigate the registration process
Answer questions with confidence, clarity, and compassion
Gather accurate information quickly in a fast-paced environment
Build trust with patients during moments when they may be scared, confused, or overwhelmed
Work across multiple computer systems to register patients efficiently
Answer phones and gather information quickly and accurately
Assist patients who may be ill, anxious, or confused
Navigate diverse insurance plans and coverage details (with training!)
Adapt to interruptions from clinical teams during urgent care situations
Build rapport and ease patient concerns in real time
