About The Position

A Brokerage CSR will be expected to ensure timely and accurate operations while providing exceptional customer service within the Brokerage Department. This role involves ensuring a smooth and timely customs process flow for all customs related activities, daily execution of workflow and department metrics, and transferring declaration information from commercial documents or other sources into our customs entry system. The position requires accurate and timely data entry to build complete US Customs declarations, building and maintaining strong relationships with customers and government organizations, and ensuring compliance with regulations at all times. The CSR will also track and trace shipments for valid data transmission to US customs and Partner Government Agencies, understand customer expectations to ensure SOP and KPI’s are met, identify and manage exceptions, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Effective email management for timely follow-up is also a key responsibility.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of Brokerage experience required
  • Understanding of transportation and US Customs documentation
  • High School Degree or equivalent required
  • Successful candidates must pass a background check
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Must not require future sponsorship for employment visa
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
  • Must have the ability to work overtime in support of the department’s needs
  • Must be able to commute to the city of Torrance, CA
  • Comfortable with numbers and basic mathematical skills
  • Comfortable working in an office environment

Nice To Haves

  • Customer Service: 6 months to 1 year experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred but not required.
