Customer Service Representative (Seasonal Full Time)
About The Position
Forward Energy is looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused individual to join their team as a Customer Service Representative. This is a seasonal full-time position that runs from September through March, offering the summer months off. The successful candidate will provide outstanding customer service while supporting the daily operations of their propane and home heating business. Forward Corporation is a fifth-generation family-owned and operated Michigan company with 100 years in business, known for its various convenience stores, restaurants, motels, a home-heating business, and a custom screen print and embroidery business. They are headquartered in Standish, MI, and employ over 700 Michigan residents.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Strong data entry and organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities.
- Demonstrated customer service experience and professional phone etiquette.
- Ability to multitask, adapt to changing priorities, and work effectively in a team environment.
- Positive attitude and commitment to delivering exceptional service.
Responsibilities
- Answer customer inquiries by phone and in person with professionalism and courtesy.
- Process home heating and propane orders accurately and efficiently.
- Accept customer payments and assist with account-related questions.
- Resolve customer concerns and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain accurate customer records and data within company systems.
- Perform filing, data entry, and other administrative duties as assigned.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure an excellent customer experience.
