About The Position

Join NSI Industries as a Customer Service Representative (Manufacturing & Distribution), where you’ll play a key role in delivering responsive, high-quality support every day. This position is part of a dynamic sales team supporting distributor customers across the Carolinas. It’s a great opportunity to grow your experience in customer support, account management, and product support. You’ll be the frontline connection for our distributor customers—responding to inquiries, partnering with the quoting team, processing orders, and resolving issues with accuracy and care. You’ll bring strong technical aptitude and the desire to learn new programs and products; experience in electrical manufacturing or a similar industry is a plus. The successful candidate will be comfortable working cross-functionally and will bring excellent communication skills. You’re customer-focused and solution-driven, with a professional demeanor and the ability to interact effectively at all levels, internally and externally. Reliability and follow-through are essential in this critical support role.

Requirements

  • 2–4+ years in customer service within manufacturing, distribution, or a related environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Comfort with CRM/ERP tools.

Nice To Haves

  • College degree preferred.
  • Experience with EDI/VMI, RMA processes, and NetSuite is a plus.
  • Experience in electrical manufacturing or a similar industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email.
  • Provide pricing, cross-reference items, and verify product availability.
  • Process RMAs.
  • Track orders and provide status updates.
  • Manage customer accounts and process orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Address product and service inquiries, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Handle a high volume of calls while identifying opportunities to generate sales leads.
  • Build trust and rapport with customers through clear, professional communication.
  • Document customer interactions and transactions thoroughly.
  • Use technology tools (NetSuite) to manage communications and verify order details.
