About The Position

Würth Baer Supply Company is seeking to hire a full-time Customer Service Representative/Will Call Associate to work onsite at our branch in Columbus, OH. This role involves handling customer inquiries and concerns with courtesy, respect, and professionalism, aiming to provide the best value through product availability, service, and price. The associate will also help solve issues on orders, investigate back-ordered products, and pursue process improvements by assisting customers in reducing costs through upselling and offering substitute products.

Requirements

High School Education with a two-year or four-year college degree preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excel & SAP experience preferred
Sales or customer service (call center) background strongly preferred
Experience in Microsoft Outlook
Detail-Oriented and the ability to multi-task
Help customers when placing orders, upselling or offering substitute products that meet customer needs.

Nice To Haves

Previous customer service experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment is a plus

Responsibilities

Handle incoming customer calls (65-90 per day est.) and emails
Order Processing: Enter and modify on-line orders in the system
Creating quotes
Respond to customer requesting pricing and other information about both stock and non-stock merchandise
Investigate back-ordered merchandise and offer substitutes when available
Expedite Orders
Maintain product information files
Fax information to customers
Assist with new employee training while taking inbound calls
Record and resolve order issues
Participate in phone blitz sales days in alignment with company sales goals.
Other duties related to sales or customer service as required
