About The Position

The Sr. Loan Consultant supports the Branch Manager by helping oversee the efficient operation of the branch and ensuring staff properly perform operational functions. The role aims to convey trust, service, security, and satisfaction to customers and staff. It includes supporting branch performance and staff, making or recommending loan decisions, processing and closing consumer loans, collecting delinquent accounts, developing community relationships, selling products and services, and helping resolve customer needs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• More than 5 years of consumer finance or related experience.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proficient working knowledge of industry or related-industry lending software, Microsoft Windows, Excel, and Word applications.

Nice To Haves

• Associate's or bachelor's degree.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English.

Responsibilities

• Assist with managing and motivating staff to meet goals for branch profitability, volume, lending, credit quality, collections, and expenses.
• Make loan decisions within established lending limits or recommend loan decisions.
• Process and close consumer loans.
• Collect accounts in varying stages of delinquency.
• Assist the Branch Manager with business development relationships in the community.
• Sell products and services to meet sales goals.
• Assist customers with implementing solutions and monitor overall customer satisfaction.
• Assist the Branch Manager with hiring, staffing, training, performance reviews, and terminations, as applicable.
• Ensure a high quality of customer service.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
