Provides support by processing customer orders, answering inquiries by phone or email. Maintains up-to-date customer files, price lists and promotions. Communicates and works cooperatively with account managers and other individuals at all levels within the company.

Requirements

  • Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel
  • Experience with ERP system, preferably PeopleSoft
  • Ability to work and thrive under time constraints and juggle/prioritize responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Receive and process orders from customers by phone, email, and EDI
  • Interact cross functionally with the Transportation, Finance, Manufacturing Operations, and Field Sales departments to ensure timely and accurate execution of orders
  • Verify pricing is accurate on orders
  • Provide accurate information regarding availability of in stock items
  • Receive and process inbound consumer inquiries by phone and email
  • Maintain customer pricing files
  • Communicate with customers to keep them fully informed about service-related issues
  • Generate and interpret sales and shipping reports
  • Maintain customer files in an organized system
  • Facilitate the flow of information related to master database records between the customer and SBI
  • Interface with Company product data pools and image repositories as required
  • Fill a request for samples or sales material when needed
  • Alert sales personnel about issues based on customer interactions
