About The Position

Since 1975, ServiTech has provided industry-leading agronomic services to help growers measure fertility, tailor inputs, and optimize yields. The Lab Customer Service Representative I will effectively contribute to the Laboratory team by providing excellent service and fulfilling the daily responsibilities to ensure quality, problem resolution and to establish reliability and convenience for customers of ServiTech. This position is critical to the safety of animals’ lives, natural resources, and the environment.

Requirements

  • An associate degree in a science and/or agricultural-related area of study is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Agricultural and laboratory operations knowledge is preferred, alongside required experience using the MS Office suite of products.
  • A valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
  • Proficient in personal computer operations using Windows-based software, Microsoft Office, and the Internet, with the ability to learn various software programs.
  • Remarkable teamwork, customer service, and organizational skills to manage difficult or emotional situations, meet commitments, and resolve questions, complaints, and concerns immediately.
  • Ability to ethically analyze data, report results with integrity, monitor work for accuracy, pay attention to details, and execute repetitive motions.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
  • Ability to calculate figures (discounts, interest, proportions, percentages) and work with mathematical concepts like probability and statistical inference.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, technical procedures, and safety rules.
  • Ability to write reports or effectively present information to managers, employees, clients, and the general public.
  • Critical thinking, problem-solving, and conflict management skills with the ability to quickly perform a mental assessment of workplace hazards, apply common sense to instructions, and resolve problems with several concrete variables.
  • Prompt and regular attendance, flexibility to manage change, and the ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent service: Utilize professional communication, teamwork, and strong organizational skills to work efficiently without compromising quality.
  • Manage sample processing: Focus on setting-up, drying, and logging samples across basic workgroups.
  • Process correspondence and orders: Ensure prompt communication, timely processing of verbal and written correspondence, efficient data entry, order processing, and accurate recordkeeping.
  • Serve customers: Use professional verbal and written communication skills to serve internal and external customers.
  • Collaborate for success: Work with ServiTech team members, the Laboratory Manager, and/or the Chief Laboratory Officer to ensure growth and success.
  • Commit to skill development: Continuously learn and develop necessary skills to contribute to lab operations, including sample preparation and processing.
  • Uphold professional standards: Maintain a professional image by proactively taking responsibility, troubleshooting, working well individually and as a team, and ensuring quality, productivity, efficiency, and safety.
  • Support general operations: Perform other duties as assigned by management.
