About The Position

The Arizona Game and Fish Department is seeking a dynamic Customer Service Representative 2 to join their Hunt Draw team. This role is ideal for an outdoors enthusiast with strong customer service skills who can assist Arizonans with the hunt draw process. The position is crucial to Arizona's conservation efforts and wildlife management, serving as the primary contact for internal and external customers regarding hunting regulations, policies, and procedures. The role involves significant involvement in the Hunt/Draw program, including facilitating statewide Population Management Hunts, Copper State Draw, and assisting in the development of hunt application forms and regulations. Daily tasks directly support outdoor traditions by processing big game applications and guiding the public through wildlife protection rules.

Requirements

  • At least one (1) year of experience in a customer service position.
  • Knowledge in State and Federal rules, regulations, Commission Rules, specifically pertaining to Article 1, and in-depth knowledge of ARS 17 as they apply to the Hunt/Draw Program.
  • Knowledge of Department policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of law enforcement practices, concentrating on investigations and documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with the public and regional staff regarding Hunt/Draw program details.
  • Process big game applications and manage tags with precision.
  • Help shape policies by participating in the development and implementation of Hunt/Draw procedures.
  • Provide expertise to internal and external customers regarding agency guidelines, policies, procedures, laws, and rules.
  • Correspond with the public, Regional Office Supervisors, and other Department Branches regarding complaints, concerns, problems, schedule changes, and other pertinent information dealing with the Hunt/Draw program.
  • Facilitate all phases of the draw for issuing big game tags while adhering to Arizona Statute and Commission Rule.
  • Review federal and state laws and regulations governing the statewide Hunt/Draw Program.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of policies and procedures relative to the Hunt/Draw program.
  • Facilitate all statewide Population Management Hunts and Hunter Pool Applications.
  • Facilitate Copper State Draw.
  • Assist in updates of the hunt application form and Department regulations prior to each big game lottery draw.
  • Assist in preparing and storing Hunt/Draw records for retention and destruction.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
