The Customer Service Rep operates equipment, stocks ingredients and supplies, prepares products, receives and processes telephone orders, cleans equipment and the facility daily, and completes inventory and related paperwork. On-the-job orientation and training are provided. The role requires communicating with customers and coworkers in person and by phone, entering orders on a computer keyboard or touchscreen, handling payments and making change, and following written instructions. Work takes place in a food-service environment with exposure to varying outdoor weather, changing temperatures, food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped spaces, hot surfaces and tools, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts. In-store temperatures range from approximately 36 degrees in the cooler to 90 degrees or higher in some work areas. Most tasks are performed standing, with frequent walking over short distances and continuous reaching and hand use. The position also involves handling deliveries and supplies, bending, occasional crouching, and infrequent stair or ladder use. Paperwork is generally completed seated at a desk or table.
