This role involves operating all equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, receiving and processing telephone orders, taking inventory, and cleaning equipment and the facility. Training is provided on the job. The position requires strong communication skills, the ability to comprehend and give written instructions, and verbal communication skills for processing orders. Essential functions include accurate and quick mathematical calculations, making correct monetary change, verbal, writing, and telephone skills, eye-hand coordination for precise movements, and the ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen. The work environment includes exposure to varying weather conditions, temperature fluctuations, fumes, dust, cramped quarters, hot surfaces, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts. Sensory requirements include talking and hearing on the telephone, near and mid-range vision, depth perception, and the ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces. Temperaments required include the ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work with others, work under stress, meet quality standards, deal with people, analyze data, and make judgments and decisions. Most tasks are performed standing, with walking in short distances. Sitting is required for paperwork. Lifting of up to 50 pounds is required for bulk deliveries, and carrying of items like pizza sauce (30 pounds) and pizza dough trays (12 pounds each) is also involved. Driving for pizza delivery is a key responsibility, along with pushing trays on dollies and infrequently climbing stairs or ladders. Stooping, bending, crouching, and squatting are necessary for various tasks like stocking and cleaning. Reaching is continuous in all directions. Hand tasks are continuous and require eye-hand coordination, including forceful use of forearms and wrists for shaping dough, and pinching for box assembly. Team members must be able to grasp various items. Tools and equipment used include pencils/pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutter, and pizza peel.
