Requirements

  • Sales experience required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, team player, and results orientated.
  • Ability to manage own time effectively and to work autonomously.
  • Confident in computer skills including Microsoft Office suite.
  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business, Communications or Marketing.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Steel Industry, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Interact directly with customers to provide status updates and fulfill service needs.
  • Maintain accurate customer profile information.
  • Capture customer job specifications and accurately maintain updates within the Company’s ERP.
  • Enter customer orders, providing relevant information to internal and external parties.
  • Oversee and ensure successful fulfillment of orders, working closely with finance, production and logistics teams.
  • Monitor inventory levels at each location and reserve inventory as needed for customers.
  • Maintain product knowledge and understanding of customer needs/requirements.
  • Actively retrieve purchase orders from customer portals.
  • Provide a full suite of support to the outside sales team through report generation, fulfilling data requests, coordination of proposal requests, and purchase orders.
  • Manage all customer claims up to and including claims resolution.
  • Monitor shipments to ensure on-time delivery and communicate changes or delays to the customer.
  • Prepare customs paperwork for out-of-country shipments.
