About The Position

This role involves a variety of tasks including operating equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, handling customer orders via phone, taking inventory, and maintaining cleanliness of equipment and the facility. Training is provided on the job. The position requires strong communication skills for interacting with customers and co-workers, both verbally and in writing. Essential functions include accurate mathematical calculations for orders and change, efficient order entry via computer or touch screen, and good hand-eye coordination for precise movements. The work environment can involve varying temperatures, fumes, dust, cramped spaces, hot surfaces, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts. Sensory requirements include talking and hearing on the phone, near and mid-range vision, depth perception, and the ability to discern hot and cold surfaces. Temperaments suited for this role include the ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work independently or with others, handle stress, meet quality standards, deal with people, analyze data, and make decisions. Most tasks are performed standing, with walking in short distances. Sitting is primarily for paperwork. Lifting and carrying involve items up to 50 pounds, often from floor to shelves up to 72 inches high. Driving is required for deliveries within a designated area. Pushing and pulling are involved with moving trays on dollies. Climbing stairs or ladders may be necessary. Stooping, bending, crouching, and squatting are required for various tasks. Reaching is continuous in multiple directions. Hand tasks are continuous and require eye-hand coordination, including forceful use of forearms and wrists for dough shaping, and pinching for box assembly. Team members must be able to grasp various items. Tools and equipment used may include pencils, pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutters, and pizza peels.

Requirements

  • Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
  • Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders both over the phone and in person.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator).
  • Must be able to make correct monetary change.
  • Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
  • Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately make precise movements with speed.
  • Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
  • Talking and hearing on the telephone.
  • Near and mid-range vision for most in-store tasks.
  • Depth perception.
  • Ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.
  • The ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work along and with others, work under stress, meet strict quality standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, make judgments and decisions.
  • Team members must be able to grasp cans, the phone, the pizza cutter and pizza peel, and pizza boxes.

Responsibilities

  • Operate all equipment.
  • Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, walk-in cooler.
  • Prepare product.
  • Receive and process telephone orders.
  • Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
  • Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
  • Deliver pizzas within a designated delivery area.
