Greets patients, patients’ families, guests of West Lakes, co-workers, physicians and others in a cheerful, prompt, courteous and professional manner. Utilizing effective listening skills ascertains needs and directs guests appropriately. Seeks assistance as need to assure guest satisfaction in reaching their location. Maintains awareness of visitors and guests entering West Lakes. If not approached directly by the visitor or guest, inquires regarding need for assistance appropriately. Answers incoming “1-800” and West Lakes “building” telephone lines and directs calls or takes messages appropriately. Seeks assistance as needed. Assists with clerical projects as requested or assigned as time permits. Promotes a positive, professional image of The Iowa Clinic both internally and externally. Maintains confidentiality of all patient information. Maintains awareness of front reception areas and notifies appropriate individual(s) to assure a clean, neat and professional presentation of the area(s).

Requirements

A High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous experience working in a customer service or front desk receptionist environment preferred.
