About The Position

The Customer Service Project Engineer serves as a strategic liaison between customers and internal business functions to support complex customer opportunities, infrastructure planning, regulatory compliance, revenue growth initiatives, and customer-focused operational solutions. The role coordinates across Customer Service, Distribution, Transmission, Generation, Regulatory, Engineering, Economic Development, and other business units to support informed decision-making, organizational alignment, and successful project execution. Depending on organizational alignment, the position emphasizes either customer opportunities and infrastructure planning—including generation strategy support, opportunity portfolio management, transmission coordination, and cross-functional planning for large or complex customer projects—or customer solutions, revenue strategy, and engineering support—including contract governance, contribution-in-aid-of-construction and revenue justification analysis, distribution engineering consultation, and emerging technology solutions. Opportunity Account Manager duties and Retail & Tariff Resources duties are core functions in either alignment. The role helps customers and internal stakeholders evaluate service options, navigate utility processes, understand tariff and rate considerations, and deliver solutions that balance customer needs with operational, engineering, financial, and regulatory requirements. It also leads or supports the development and coordination of customer agreements, contract frameworks, and governance activities, including contract negotiations and execution.
