About The Position

This position involves providing friendly and courteous service to customers, including bagging their purchases, carrying them to their cars, and retrieving shopping carts. The role also includes maintaining store cleanliness by picking up debris, stocking supplies, emptying trash, and sweeping/mopping floors. Additional duties may involve returning merchandise to shelves, verifying prices, and other tasks assigned by management. This is a customer-facing role within a fast-paced store environment.

Requirements

• Regular, reliable attendance is an essential function of the job.
• Must be able to push 3 to 5 carts at a time
• Able to work outside in seasonal weather
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Working on feet for entire shift (4-8 hours)
• Minimum of six months employment with Schnucks preferred (for Store/Facility Teammates)
• Minimum of one year employment with Schnucks preferred (for Store Support Center Teammates)
• Must be in good standing (not on a performance improvement plan or active discipline)
• If invited for an interview, must have manager approval based on performance.

Nice To Haves

• Internal Candidates: Store/Facility Teammates: minimum of six months employment with Schnucks preferred.
• Internal Candidates: Store Support Center Teammates: minimum of one year employment with Schnucks preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and courteous service to customers
• Place customers’ purchases into bags
• Place filled bags in cart
• Carry customers purchase to cars
• Retrieve carts from parking lot
• Pick up paper and debris in the store, from parking lot, and from carts
• Stock bags on check stands
• Empty trash from check stands and service center
• Sweep and mop floors
• Return merchandise left at check-out to shelves
• Read and understand shelf tags
• Verify prices of merchandise
• Other duties may be assigned at the discretion of the store management
