We are seeking a detail-oriented Customer Service Intern to support the development and documentation of our OEM order entry process. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys organizing information, writing clearly, and working within structured procedures. The intern will collaborate with customer service and cross-functional teams to observe current workflows and translate them into clear, accurate Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written communication skills, including proper grammar and spelling.
  • Ability to follow directions and translate instructions into clear written procedures.
  • Interest in technical writing, process documentation, or customer service operations.
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office or similar tools).
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating with a team.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.
  • This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Pursuing or recently completed coursework in business, communications, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with SOP writing or process documentation.
  • Exposure to customer service or administrative work.

Responsibilities

  • Observe and learn the current OEM order entry process from team members and internal systems.
  • Develop clear, step-by-step Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for OEM order entry.
  • Ensure all documentation is accurate, consistent, and easy to follow for future users.
  • Revise and update documentation based on feedback and process changes.
  • Maintain organized records of drafts, revisions, and final documents.
  • Verify accuracy of written procedures, data points, and system steps.
  • Proofread all documentation for proper grammar, spelling, and formatting.
  • Identify gaps or inconsistencies in existing processes and flag them to the team.
  • Work closely with customer service representatives and internal departments to gather information.
  • Ask clarifying questions to ensure full understanding of processes before documenting.
  • Follow directions carefully and meet deadlines for assigned documentation tasks.
  • Gain exposure to customer service operations, order processing systems, and internal workflows.
  • Build technical writing and process improvement skills in a professional environment.
