About The Position

Responsible for transporting patients between hospital locations, including patient rooms, radiology and other ancillary departments as assigned. What you will do Transports inpatients and outpatients safely between hospital departments, using stretcher, wheelchair, bed, and stroke chair as appropriate. Utilizes patient safety criteria and correct patient handoff processes. Ensures that patient is comfortable during the transporting process. Provides assistance to patient, family and health care staff as needed. Places equipment not in use in assigned location and ensures equipment is clean and in proper working order. Performs other job functions.
