About The Position

Performs technical, mainly pre-defined tasks for accomplishing defined service delivery work for customer equipment. Required residence within 45 miles of Phoenix, AZ or Tucson. Performing service, preventative maintenance, and modifications on ultrasound medical equipment at customer sites to ensure customer equipment operates at a high standard. Ownership of customer relationships with the goal of upholding a high level of satisfaction while troubleshooting and resolving both hardware and software issues with ultrasound equipment, either remotely or at a customer site. Serving as the company’s primary customer facing technical representative for ultrasound while working in collaboration with biomedical engineers and other senior staff members in a hospital or clinical environment. Building and sustaining strong partnerships with your customers through the effective use of both technical expertise and interpersonal skills. Establish and maintain proper business relationships with clinical / sales partners and peers. Performing necessary administrative duties accurately, ensuring all work and equipment adhere to all state and federal regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Technical degree / certificate or minimum 3-5 years of experience with relevant work experience.
  • Professional experience with mechanical and/or electrical installations, testing, repairing, and maintaining medical equipment preferred or a background in an area requiring technical knowledge, such as HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning, Alarm and Monitoring systems), aircraft maintenance, manufacturing systems, power distribution, industrial printing, weapon systems, electronics, complex IT environments, etc.
  • Use of remote support mixed reality tools when working with second level technical support.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Ability to travel and provide service in assigned geography.
  • Lifting 50lbs (floor to above waist/head), walking, ladder/stepstool climbing, bending, twisting, sitting work, squatting work, standing work, high-reach, fine grasping manipulation, good vision, and ability to work alone.
  • Knowledge of computers and networking; PC competency to include utilization of Microsoft Office Suite products.
  • Ability to understand and apply electronic, mechanical, and networking theory to install, diagnose, and repair equipment, including knowledge and use of all necessary tools and test equipment.
  • Ability to understand and utilize technical vocabulary to perform tasks according to either verbal or written instructions.
  • Must be able to be compliant with hospital credentialing requirements.
  • Ability to work professionally with all levels of hospital organization staff.
  • Excellent organization, time management, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to travel >75% of the time.
  • Residence within 45 miles of Phoenix, AZ or Tucson.
