About The Position

Customer Service Desk Associate supports the process of event management within the event & hospitality industry. Responsibilities include providing excellent communication and customer care to both exhibitors and vendors. This person will manage a service desk during expos/conventions/ tradeshows, which entails assisting exhibitors with onsite orders, payment processing, and questions. Additional duties may include routine administrative work and other functions to assist the operations of the company when needed. This individual must possess basic math skills, be detailed oriented and highly organized, and deliver an exceptionally positive customer experience. Friendly and professional manner and proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 preferred. This is a part-time position with hours ranging on average 25-30 hours per week. Must be available for flex time (mostly days, occasional weekends and evenings). Service Crew availability as needed Pay range is $21.00- $23.00 per hour based on previous experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and maintains office forms and procedures when needed and assists with administrative tasks
  • Answers telephone calls and direct the calls accordingly
  • Receives the public and answers questions, in person and by telephone, responds to inquiries from employees and the public and, when necessary, refers to the appropriate person, administrator or department
  • Operates office machines and credit card terminals and assists when there is a malfunction.
  • Notifies General Manager when a service call is needed on equipment only after measures have been made to correct the problem
  • Duplicates and distributes materials as requested
  • Attend staff meetings as required
