About The Position

This position is authorized for up to 40 hours per week, with an average schedule of 16 hours per week. Operates the front desk area of Recreation Center. Performs operations from established guidelines or instructions. Work requires independent thought and the ability to adjust to changing environments.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Two years experience working in a customer service-oriented position.
  • Public service practices.
  • Building operation procedures.
  • Basic computer operation.
  • Maintain cash and reports.
  • Interpret rules and regulations and apply to situations.
  • Operate basic computer software.
  • Deal effectively with the public.
  • Operate registration software.

Nice To Haves

  • First Aid and CPR certificates preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises the front desk area.
  • Processes class registration.
  • Processes membership cards and fees.
  • Operates cash register, opening, close-out, etc.
  • Assists with the preparation of financial and attendance reports.
  • Answers telephone.
  • Responds to inquiries for information or assistance.
  • Interprets and explains rules and regulations; reports violations.
  • Staffs special events as required.
  • Performs related work as required.
