About The Position

Enmarket is seeking a customer-service-oriented, motivated, and positive Sales Associate to support the efficient operation of a convenience store during a shift. The role helps contribute to store profitability and growth while ensuring customers’ needs are met and delivering friendly, courteous service. Associates follow company policies, communicate relevant operational updates to management, complete shift reports, and help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming store environment. The position requires a flexible schedule and the ability to work in varied temperatures and store areas.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Read, understand, and write English at an eighth-grade level.
• Be able to validate identification before selling tobacco and/or alcohol, as required by regulations.
• Be able to lift up to 30 pounds and carry cases of milk cartons, soft drinks, beer, and juice using proper lifting techniques.
• Be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
• Remain calm and respond according to policies and procedures during emergencies.
• Tolerate exposure to gasoline fumes and cleaning products.
• Work in varied temperature environments, including coolers, outdoors in different weather conditions, and inside the store.
• Be able to access all areas of the store.
• Work a flexible schedule as needed.
• Interact with customers in a friendly, professional manner.

Responsibilities

• Operate the station efficiently during the assigned shift and in accordance with company policy.
• Communicate verbally and in writing with management about store operations, including changes or issues that could adversely affect operations.
• Prepare a shift report at the end of the shift according to company guidelines.
• Provide a positive customer experience by greeting customers warmly, suggesting purchases, and promoting specials.
• Take responsibility for executing the customer service program at the site level.
• Minimize safety risks to employees, customers, and suppliers, and enforce environmental and hazardous-material regulations.
• Maintain store safety and security and document accidents or incidents.
• Maintain the customer environment inside the store and around its perimeter.
• Operate assigned equipment safely and efficiently and support the Safety and Health program.
• Promptly report workplace accidents, injuries, incidents, or illnesses.
• Complete the new-employee safety orientation procedure.
• Perform general housekeeping and maintain the physical condition, safety, cleanliness, and appearance of store facilities.
• Perform other related duties as required.
