About The Position

Dollar Tree is seeking a Customer Service Associate to help deliver a positive shopping experience. The role includes assisting customers, operating an assigned cash register, protecting cash and company assets, stocking and recovering merchandise, receiving deliveries, and helping unload trucks. Associates also maintain store cleanliness, including restocking and cleaning bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out trash, and keeping areas neat and presentable. Employees are expected to foster a positive, safe, respectful, and professional environment and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
Ability to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Previous customer service experience in a retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
Manage sales transactions while working an assigned cash register.
Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
Receive merchandise, help unload trucks, and replenish stock in accordance with productivity standards.
Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment through professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders.
Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out trash, and keeping all areas neat and presentable.
Perform other duties as assigned.
