About The Position

The Customer Service Associate I - The UPS Store provides customers with efficient and effective service to exceed expectations while promoting products and services to meet their needs. This is a seasonal role from September to May, and candidates must be participants in the Mason LIFE Program. Didlake, Inc. is a non-profit rehabilitation services organization dedicated to creating opportunities that enrich the lives of people with disabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers in a friendly manner upon entering the store and determine customer needs by asking open-ended questions.
  • Continuously practices good listening skills with customers, UPS store team members, and leadership.
  • Knowledgeable of products and services offered by The UPS Store and properly promote them to customers.
  • Receive, sort, and place mail in mailboxes accurately.
  • Record all sales transactions completely and accurately in the Point of Sale system.
  • Pack contents for shipping using established procedures and products.
  • Receive and process customer packages for shipping, including lifting, weighing, and measuring packages.
  • Assist in merchandising the store, including stocking shelves with products, ensuring the clean and orderly appearance of the product, informing appropriate personnel of inventory levels for re-ordering supplies.
  • Operate copiers, fax machines, measuring tapes, tape guns, and all other office machines in a safe, efficient, and productive manner.
  • Help customers operate office machines located in the retail area.
  • General housekeeping duties.
  • Must be able to work opening and closing shifts; including weekends.
