About The Position

The Customer Service Associate assists customers and supports store operations to deliver a positive shopping experience. The role includes answering customer questions and making recommendations, operating an assigned cash register, safeguarding cash and company assets, stocking and recovering merchandise, receiving deliveries, unloading trucks, and replenishing stock according to productivity standards. The associate helps maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment through professional, friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders. Store cleanliness is also part of the role, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out trash, and keeping all areas neat and presentable. Other duties may be assigned. This is a part-time position with Family Dollar at 225 Grandview Dr, Lander, Wyoming 82520.

Requirements

Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
Ability to lift 30 to 50 pounds from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Previous customer service experience in a retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
Manage sales transactions at an assigned cash register.
Maintain cash security and protect company assets.
Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
Receive merchandise, help unload trucks, and replenish stock in accordance with productivity standards.
Promote a positive, safe, and respectful environment through professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders.
Maintain store cleanliness, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out trash, and keeping all areas neat and presentable.
Perform other duties as assigned.
