About The Position

Dollar Tree is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a positive shopping experience. The role includes assisting customers, handling sales transactions, maintaining cash security and company assets, stocking and recovering merchandise, receiving deliveries, and helping unload trucks. The associate also maintains a safe, respectful, and professional store environment and keeps the store clean and presentable, including bathrooms and sales-floor areas. Other related duties may be assigned. The job specification may be amended as business needs evolve; employment is at-will and this job description is not a contract of employment.

Requirements

Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
Ability to lift 30–50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height.
Ability to meet the physical demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Previous customer service experience in a retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
Manage sales transactions at an assigned cash register.
Maintain cash security and protect company assets.
Keep the store stocked and recover merchandise.
Receive merchandise, help unload trucks, and replenish stock in accordance with productivity standards.
Help maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment through professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders.
Maintain store cleanliness, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out trash, and keeping all areas neat and presentable.
Perform other duties as assigned.
