About The Position

Dollar Tree is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience for every customer. The role includes assisting customers, operating an assigned cash register, maintaining cash security and company assets, stocking and recovering merchandise, receiving deliveries, and helping unload trucks. Associates are also responsible for keeping the store clean, safe, and presentable, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, and taking out the trash. The position requires professional, friendly, and respectful interactions with customers, associates, and leaders, as well as performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
Ability to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height.
Ability to meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Previous customer service experience in a retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
Manage sales transactions while working an assigned cash register.
Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
Receive merchandise, help unload trucks, and replenish stock in accordance with productivity standards.
Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment through professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders.
Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out the trash, and keeping all areas neat and presentable.
Perform other duties as assigned.
