About The Position

This position will be responsible for filing and managing freight claims on behalf of our customers in accordance with our carrier contracts and claims regulations. It involves acting as a liaison between our customer and the carrier in the negotiation and disposition of freight claims. The role also includes claims reporting and analysis with a focus on providing an outstanding customer experience.

Requirements

  • Experience in supply chain/logistics
  • Proficiency in filing and managing freight claims
  • Knowledge of carrier contracts and claims regulations
  • Ability to act as a liaison between customers and carriers
  • Skills in negotiation and resolution of cargo claims
  • Experience with claims reporting and analysis
  • Familiarity with Claims Management software
  • Ability to create and maintain customer required reporting
  • Understanding of claims procedures, work instructions, and SOPs

Responsibilities

  • Act as a liaison between our customer and carriers in managing freight claims
  • Assist in development and enforcement of our claims management policy
  • Review submissions, file freight claims, negotiate and resolve cargo claims timely and to the full liability of the carrier contracts
  • Continuous improvement of our claims management process
  • Utilize our Claims Management software to process claims
  • Create and maintain customer required reporting, attend and facilitate meetings
  • Understand claims procedure, maintain work instructions and SOP’s
  • Review carrier contracts for claim liability
  • Other duties as assigned
