About The Position

We are seeking a full-time team member with a passion for others who wants to make a difference to work at UMC Physicians. This is a reception job that works at the front desk of our clinics checking in patients and doing administrative duties. We want people who bring strong customer services skills and have a desire to take on the challenges in front of them. The role involves serving as a direct contact/referral point for patients, greeting them in person and via telephone, and managing a multi-line telephone system. The advocate will also perform clerical duties related to patient/provider appointment scheduling, accurately register patients using the UMCP computer system, ensure all necessary documents and forms are presented, explained, and signed, obtain information for benefits verifications, secure appropriate signed consent forms, and collect co-pays or required amounts at the time of service. The goal is to provide a friendly, calm, and professional environment for patients, their families, and friends.

Requirements

  • Ability to work 40 hours per week
  • Availability: 8AM-5PM Monday – Thursday, 8AM-12PM Friday

Responsibilities

  • Serves as a direct contact/referral point for patients
