About The Position

Arlo is seeking a data-driven Customer Segmentation Analyst to join the Lifecycle Marketing team. This role will be responsible for customer cohorts, segmentation analysis, reporting, and performance tracking to enhance customer retention, engagement, and subscription growth. The analyst will help the team understand customer journeys, identify areas needing support, and optimize engagement strategies. Arlo specializes in AI- and CV-powered analytics, cloud services, user experience, product design, and wireless connectivity to deliver a seamless smart security experience.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in marketing analytics, customer segmentation, lifecycle/CRM analytics, business intelligence, or a related field.
  • Experience working with customer, behavioral, subscription, or product data to build cohorts and inform business decisions.
  • Hands-on experience with reporting, dashboard development, performance analysis, and turning data into actionable recommendations.
  • Experience with Klaviyo or a similar marketing automation platform.
  • Working knowledge of SQL, Tableau, Amplitude, and data visualization; able to investigate data questions independently and communicate findings clearly.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and collaboratively with both technical and non-technical teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, curiosity, and a practical, problem-solving mindset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to make complex analysis easy to understand.

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage customer cohorts and create segments based on customer behavior, lifecycle stage, device ownership, subscription status, engagement, and other signals.
  • Own recurring lifecycle marketing dashboards and reporting, ensuring the team has clear visibility into journey performance, audience behavior, conversion, retention, and churn.
  • Analyze flow and campaign performance to identify what is working, what is not, and opportunities to improve customer engagement and business outcomes.
  • Turn reporting into actionable insights and recommendations that inform lifecycle strategy, testing priorities, messaging, and channel decisions.
  • Partner with Product, Growth, and Engineering teams to investigate data questions, validate source data, and improve understanding of the end-to-end customer data flow.
  • Translate technical data concepts and findings into clear, practical marketing language for business stakeholders.
  • Support analysis tied to subscription conversion, service adoption, plan upgrades, retention, churn reduction, and customer lifetime value.
  • Create and maintain measurement approaches for lifecycle journeys, including cohort definitions, baseline performance, test design, and ongoing tracking.
  • Help establish a consistent reporting and insights process so the team can learn from existing programs and optimize accordingly.
