About The Position
The Customer Satisfaction & Basic Maintenance Technician helps maintain a positive customer experience by ensuring a large automotive manufacturing plant is safe, functional, and well-maintained. The role supports daily operations through light maintenance, basic repairs, and preventive service to keep equipment and work areas in good condition. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM CST. Compensation is $22.00–$26.00 per hour; specific offers vary based on the applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and market data. This is described as a suitable role for someone entering or returning to the workforce with limited experience and education. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work in various conditions.
Nice To Haves
- At least 2 years of experience in general maintenance, building operations, or facility services.
- Military experience; listed Military Occupational Specialty Codes include 91E, 91C, EM, HT, MK, DC, 1161, 1341, and 3E1X1.
Responsibilities
- Perform general light maintenance and basic repairs, including work on restrooms, doors, flooring, drywall, and ceiling tiles.
- Service and maintain ice and water machines, including replacing filters and performing preventive maintenance.
- Respond promptly to leaks, spills, and water issues while ensuring safety and minimizing disruption.
- Perform painting and surface touch-ups to maintain a clean, professional facility appearance.
- Support preventive maintenance programs and complete assigned work orders accurately and efficiently.
- Monitor and report abnormal equipment or building conditions to supervisors.
- Respond to customer requests quickly and professionally.
- Follow ABM safety standards and company procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
