About The Position

At Spikes and Houles in Elk River, passionate individuals are sought to join the team and provide exceptional service for customers. This role is ideal for those who love working with people and are ready for a fun, fast-paced environment. The position offers 20-30 hours per week, varying by season, and includes opening, mid-day, evening, and weekend shifts throughout the year. As a Customer Sales Representative, you will assist customers with their needs, from selecting products to offering expert advice on feed, lawn, and garden items. You will be central to the store's operations, ensuring customers have an exceptional experience.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age to cross train on warehouse equipment.
Open availability, including days, nights, and weekends.
Ability to stand for 8-10 hours, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical tasks (bending, stooping, etc.).
A love for customer service, with excellent communication and listening skills!

Nice To Haves

1+ year of customer service and cash handling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Greeting customers and providing personalized solutions.
Assisting with product recommendations, warranties, and replacement parts.
Keeping the store organized and stocked with seasonal items.
Operating cash registers and managing payment transactions.
Maintaining outdoor displays and helping customers with their purchases, including carry-out service.
Safely handling live chicks and other seasonal products.
Operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment to safely unload trucks and pull customer orders.
Contributing to the store’s visual displays and keeping everything neat and tidy.
